My motherboard supports either 4GB of RAM with a bus speed of 333mhz or 2GB at 400mhz.

With the option of running one or the other, which one would be more ideal? I don't know if I would be even be able to tell the difference... does bus speed even make a big difference?

I would think that since there isn't that big of a difference in fsb speeds, then more would be better than faster.

The amount of Ram supported does not depends on Speed 2 points.. The Speed of Ram higher the better for maximum bandwidth btw plz quote you motherboard Model.. If you are unsure which 1 then use CPU -Z for that :D
