I see no reason for my thread being jailed?

I posted a thread titled: Religion is a disease!

Which I believe has been unfairly jailed.

This is a valid topic dealt with by the likes of Richard Dawkins.

I even have a link to a paper:

Ben Cullen
Dept of Archaeology and Palaeoecology
Queen's University of Belfast

Which is against Dawkins' theory.

There is a link to a well written article on the Athiest Parents site.

Another quoting many past U.S. president's thoughts on religion.

Should I have put a question mark at the end of the title of my thread?

This topic is not spam, it is not intended to offend, though I would expect some serious & well thought discussion.

Was my thread jailed by request?

I'm certainly not used to being censored!

The title alone (Religion is a disease)could be see as trolling ,

This is an insult to the many members who have their religion to say they are deseased.

The thread was contrary to the forum rules

Ok, I will try a more gentle tack, & see if that attempt succeeds.

I am not trolling by the way, I am interested in the input of some very intelligent participants.

It will be a standoff anyway, those holding onto the bible rarely let go. Those who have let go, or never held rarely take it up.

Very few debates in the Backyard would do more than enable people to express their view & gain more insight from other peoples points of view. When politics/religion are involved people don't change their stance very often or very easily, so does that make a debate/discussion on these topics useless?

You may think I was trolling for attention, I was not, the title & the subject matched perfectly in my mind.

Anyway, I have started a new thread with a title that will put more people off than attract them, & a link to a scholar's paper that does not agree with Dawkins' statements re. religion & disease, which only the interested will spend the time to read.

I find this subject fascinating, & due to this dynamic forum my first hand education on people & religion under a variety of topics is growing dramaticaly.

Once again, I thank all concerned with running this wonderful web site. :D

I have viewed the new thread and yes the title is better.

I am prepared to keep it open for the present , but should the thread melt down it will be reviewed.
