Hello all,

I've been trying to figure out the problems with packaging python code using setup utils and dependancies. while I was hitting my head against a brick wall with dohickey (it's a complex app) I decided to make a really small tool that I noticed was missing from ubuntu. it's gtk front end for generating xjig puzzles. attached is the deb, please try it. just make sure you have xjig installed first as the deb won't require it to be installed (see still figuring it all out)

I've updated the package

God my posts seem like lead weights in this forum; they sink quickly and without sight. I hope my title wasn't completely off putting.

https://launchpad.net/gtk-jig

I added it to launchpad and put a simple preview in.

Could one of the moderators change my title on this thread, it's been totally ignored.

Would love to use this or something like it. Is this project still alive?

Peace,
Gail

Well yes, but it's not a very complex app so I'm finished with development until there is something else to do for it.

I tried your xjig launcher with xjig 2.5-2 (http://www.xjigmanager.com/media/admin/files/xjig_binaries/xjig252/xjig_2.5-2_i386.deb)

It works fine, and the key 'F' to fix the rotation of the pieces works ok.

Have you considered adding some of the extra options in 2.5 to your launcher?

Extra option like different shaped pieces and changing background colour.
