This is very cool!

I guess for install-fests it is common to ask people to bring along their own computers to install on. That is of course a big hassle for them and quite scary (data loss, what if I want Windows back, etc.)

Here it seems you simply ask them to install it on a standard system to get the experience of doing it. And since the systems are all the same, you can do it together as a group and the result is predictable. They leave with more confidence in the whole system. Brilliant!

(has anyone else been doing it this way?)

previously, the challenge after the installation was to install add-on apps from the internet, as it is always slow. imagine, so many ppl accessing the internet at the same time

but now... add-on-cd does the trick ;-) no internet required any more (time saving)
