You could always type in the image tags yourself. I'm used to doing that from the Zappa forum.

Kwik kwestion: when I want to insert an image into a post (as opposed to a thumbnail/attachment), I click on the "Insert Image" icon and up pops a box telling me to input the url of the image I want to post. So, is it only possible to insert images that are on the internet? Or is there a way I can insert an image from my computer?

You can insert an image from your comp. as an attachment.

You can insert an image from the internet "in" the post....you refer to this option as "insert an image".

If you want to "insert an image" from your computer, you'll first have to upload it (on some website) and then "insert it" using the pop up box the way you described.
