For me it used to be Wir sind Helden, but their last album doesn't live up to the standard.. and I like what I know of 5nizza... and Element of crime, if I am in the mood.

Question to the Rammstein loving people, just out of interest: Do you understand, what they sing?

I like 'stein as well...But for me I don't CARE what they're singing. It could be absolute gibberish or some made-up language I would still listen to it if it sounded good. The human voice is just a very adaptive instrument, If it's in my own language that's just peachy, But I don't care either way PERSONALLY.

But in truth, A lot of the stuff Rammstein sings about is love.

I knew Rammstein was gonna get a lot of votes here.
Actually their about the only one I listen to (which surprised me).
I just went through my collection then, and while there are a lot of European bands (mainly Swedish death metal bands) they all sing mainly in English.

Megaherz - From Germany.

They get compared to Rammstein alot, although personaly the only connection I see is the language of the vocals and maybe electronics.

My favorite band is NINJABOX. They just happen to be non-English speaking. (well, they do speak english, but they're Japanese and most of their songs are in Japanese.)

Man, I love these guys. Their music is excellent. "Dokidoki summer daisakusen", "omaeno kanojo to fac sasero", "reality" and "alice/goldfish/1998" are some of my favorite songs by them.

Sigur Ros are great, always good for relaxing to.

Though my favourite would have to be either Boris (crazy stoner/drone rock from Japan):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6t3dHC2qcBc

Or The Mad Capsule Markets (electronic/noise/rap/industrial/metal/punk/whatever, also from Japan, though some stuff is in (quite bad) English):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGVJnir5sXE

It always amazes me how Japanese bands can make the heaviest, craziest and noisest music and then weld a crazily singable chorus on to it and not have it sound stupid...

Hmm, let's see.

There's Manu Chao from France, Ruidosa Inmundicia from Austria, Los Crudos from the US, Einstürzende Neubauten from Germany, Vágtázó Halottkémek from Hungary, Seu Jorge from Brazil, Mumiy Troll from Russia, Staraya Derevnya from Israel, Dir Yassin from Israel, Dezerter from Poland, J.M.K.E. from Estonia, Wheel Of Dharma from Finland and Goran Bregovic from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

And then there's a few borderline bands, who do songs in english and in some other language(s) as well. Like Oi Polloi from Scotland and Gogol Bordello from the US. I intentionally left out the bands that sing in my language as the list would never end then. :)

EDIT: I forgot Goran Bregovic.

Haha! He sings in Swedish, and if you didn't know, he mostly sings about drinking booze and (excuse the language) ******* girls. ;) The music is good, and the lyrics are sometimes a little but to vulgar for my taste, but most of the time, they are quiet funny! :) About every Swedish ragger listen to his music.

My favorite non-English speaking band must be the Swedish band Kent, which is quiet popular here in Sweden. Another good non-English band is Distemper from Russia. They play some really nice ska-punk, and they sing in both Russian and English.
