Hi,

I really want this Firefox extension. Then I would really appriciate it if you could make it!

My idea is pretty simple:

I want a percentage view in the status bar that wll show how many percent (of total bandwidth) of the current website where fetched from cache.

60% would show that 60% where fetched from cache, and 40% from the web.

Thanks in advance! =D>

that seems a bit tricky but good luck finding someone to do it. I wonder that myself sometimes.

that seems a bit tricky but good luck finding someone to do it.Tricky? Well... No? 1) Measure the total bandwidth used, 2) measure file size fetched from cache, and 3) find the difference between the two values.

I wonder that myself sometimes. I think many are wondering that. Especially web developers trying to cut of a few bytes here and there.

I really wish I have had the time and knowledge to do this myself. Unfortunately I have to rely on others.

I think you should try to ask this question on MozillaZine.org's Extension Development (http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=19) forum, probably more Firefox hackers there.
