Today I started hand-sewing a shirt. I made the whole entire thing from scratch, with white fabric. Hand-sewn. No machine. Took me about an hour and a half in all.
Now I feel pretty awesome. I've always been interested in traditional punk clothing, and I can finally make it from scratch. The shirt is very crudely sewn, but that's how it's supposed to look. It's a bondage shirt, the kind you'd see at the shops Seditionaries/SEX/Let It Rock. See http://only-anarchists.co.uk/ for what stuff looked like.
It's not completely done, however. I still need to add little D-rings on the shoulders, slash some bits of it up, make it look more destructed. And bondagey. And also print an Anarchy symbol on the front of it. My next project will essentially be the same, only the shirt will be black and say "Too Fast To Live, Too Young to Die." It will say the Live part on top, and then there will be a Skull & Cross-bones, and then say the Die part.
Anyway, has anyone had any recent accomplishments?
