We have all heard of the word threads, the sentence threads, the story threads, etc, etc....
Old hat, this is a game I used to play in high school with a friend of mine, it is a random free-form prose thread...
Prose is writing distinguished from poetry by its greater variety of rhythm and its closer resemblance to the patterns of everyday speech. The word prose comes from the Latin prosa, meaning straightforward, hence the term "prosaic," which is often seen as pejorative. Prose describes the type of writing that prose embodies, unadorned with obvious stylistic devices. Prose writing is usually adopted for the description of facts or the discussion of whatever one's thoughts are, incorporated in free flowing speech. Thus, it may be used for newspapers, capers, magazines, encyclopedias, broadcast media, films, letters, debtor's notes, famous quotes, murder mystery, history, philosophy, biography, linguistic geography and many other forms of media.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prose
You can add as many lines as you like but try to add a minimum of 4 and try to keep the prose in stanzas of four lines....please try to keep it free-form and spontaneous, just let it flow where your mind takes you..and have fun
I am a bit rusty but I will start....
The evening grew dim like a stale night in a Southern July summer
mist engrossed my senses, engulfing me in dream-like state of mind
my mind raced, my breath quickened as I succumbed to awe and wonder
beyond the lake I saw her dressed in nightmares as angels beckoned here home
