Wal Mart selling Dells?

Did a check to see if this has been posted already but came up with no matches. I was in Wal Mart this afternoon and they have a Dell desktop on display. A Dimension with an AMD 64 processor and Windows Vista for just under $600 Cdn. Kind of struck me funny as I thought Dell was mostly a mail order company. Do they sell Dells at all Wal Marts or is this something new?

Weird with all the adverts - "Dell dont sell in stores" I thought it was a "we are cheap because we dont pay to keep stores open" thing

Yeah, wal-mart is selling Dell computers now. Dell is a budget computer with a budget philosophy and their market and Wal-Mart's market is one and the same. I just don't understand why they didn't do this earlier.

I'm sure it depends on the region but mine does. I think Dell has used middlemen for a while.
