I was thinking about getting two, one for my main computer and another as a spare.

At least you should have added a free gift message! ;-)

Mind you, that's only $23,239 in US dollars.:)

We all knew Macs were a bit over-priced, but I guess you have to pay for quality. I'd want a free ipod thrown in for that money.

<Edit: OMG, that price is REAL! I just used that page to "downgrade" to something more realistic and still came out at over $12,000! Do people really buy this stuff? Why?>

High resolution video editing might need that much. Or rendering high resolution 3D graphics.

Or if you download lots of stuff using your Apple USB Modem (with speeds up to 56kbits/s!) :p

I might only have one dual core 64 bit processor & 2 Gb of RAM but I have 4 drives and 3 screens.
It only cost me $700.

A friend has one of the 30" Mac screens.

I paid that much for the NEC XE21 I have had since 1995. It still works even after the removalists broke all the front panel controls. I doubt those Mac screens will be with us in 12 years.

High resolution video editing might make use of that, theres NO WAY it needs that (unless your super impatient).

Holy crap!

Who adds a super-charger to their car, and dumps in a more powerful engine?

Who divorces their old wife, so they can marry a younger trophy wife gold-digger?

Who eats Filet Mignon every day of the week when there are starving kids in Africa?

Who...well...you get the point...

People who can, that's who. So stick that in your pipe and smoke it, Social Darwinism! LOL!
