I'm trying to choose which system to learn. I've already started with plone, but I stumbled uppon Mamo on the web, and it looks quite nice, and customization looks a bit easier than plone.

So I was wondering if anyone with experience with the two CMS systems can give me the different pros and cons of the two.

Also note that I'm not a qualified Developer, and have been learning plone in my spare time, to be used in my business, to provide online services etc.

Thanks,

WW

What about Joomla? I use it and love it. It's a spin off of Mambo...

Good luck, whatever you do...

It seems that you can do so much more with Plone, but what has been bothering me, is that it runs off a Zope Database, and requires a WebHost that specifically hosts a Zope Database. Mamo uses MySQL, which is a bit more common, and cheaper.

I'll have a look at Joomla though.

Ok... so I've tried Joomla a bit and I have found that I prefer Plone.

Plone however does have more expensive hosting fees, so for any personal sites, I'd rather use Joomla. For my business projects, however, I'll be using plone.

Anyway, thanks for introducing me to Joomla :)
