My two favorite Opera widgets right now are:

1. Touch the Sky

touchtheSky is a comprehensive weather display, featuring:
International coverage - just type your town name and search
Always up-to-date - data gets retrieved and updated every half-hour from Accuweather.com
Temperature
Windspeed
Satellite images
Air quality, including humidity, pollen levels, and UV levels
Moon phases
5-day forecast
Mini mode - always have it available in the corner of your screen!
Metric or US units
Actual temperature or AccuWeather RealFeel
Switchable skins, conforming to Opera Style guidelines
Animations can be disabled for slower CPUs
Automatic notification when software updates are available
Checked for compatibility in Windows, Linux and Mac OS

My take on it:

Nice Weather widget although I would rather it be synced with NOAA instead, overall nice to use, easy to configure weather widget

2. Wsudoku
Version: 0.3 Updated: Thursday, 31 August 2006 17:20:06

A sudoku game.
Grid's size can be changed (from 4x4 to a 16x16 table).
Grids are fully generated, so there's basically an infinite number of plays available.

My take on it:

The main reason I love this Sudoku widget is that it generates a grid using Japanese characters.
Also the colorization of lines/rows/blocks is an added bonus (like in Ksudoku)

Question!
Are Opera widgets for the desktop? (Please don't laugh)
If so, then dandy! These would go great with my screenlets.
EDIT: Oops...nevermind...

Yay, so I guess they are for desktops! Neat!

Opera widgets are for desktops also but not *only* for desktops.

It is the one and only, true cross platform widget platform that I've come across. Right once and run anywhere, how cool is that :)

I don't know if they sang opera, but there were singers there:
