I'm independent, so I'll have to wait until after the primaries, but either Ron Paul or Obama.

I'm hoping that Michael Bloomburg will enter the elections. I am not sure i will vote for him yet, but i think he would be a strong independant ticket.

Definitely Ron Paul. I like his stances on the issues. He should be a Democrat, as his views are more closely aligned there than to the Republicans. However, those views *used* to be the views of the Republicans during the Regan Administration. Don't know what happened. However, after the crash and burn of Bush, I don't think a Republican will be taking office. Just my thoughts, though.

I just think that Ron Paul is far to radical for the current Republican Party, to get the nomination. So we will see what happens there.

But all mentioned are excellent suggestions, Obama, Paul, and Bloomburg.

Ron Paul.

If he doesn't make it past the primaries, I most likely won't even show up at the polls.

Ron Paul all the way. He is the only true conservative on the ticket. I've started a Ron Paul for President group on Mugshot. Its an open group for anyone that is interested in joining me in spreading the word about Ron Paul/:)

Wow, I knew this forum would be for Ron Paul. I just posted a Ubuntu link on a Ron Paul forum so I guess this is fitting that I found this thread in here. :P

He will fix the patent issues that are unconstituional and Linux will be free from government supported software monopolies and their threats. That is why Ubuntu users should like him, don't count on Romney for that one.

Me? Im for getting out of Iraq, Getting rid of the IRS, and ending the spying on our own people. The real big issue that only Ron Paul is up on is the soundness of the dollar. If the dollar fails then every pet issue of the warfare and welfare candidates are out the window anyway.

Yes We Can! - Barack Obama for President :guitar:

CHANGE

The only problem I have with his campaign is... "yes we can"... do what? Because he says we can, and change and stuff but I have been really confused on what he is changing and what we "can" do? As an Obama supporter, maybe you can clarify this for me?

As you know, political rulings and laws for the many decades have been formed and regulated by lobbyist, the political and economic elite. Lobbyist bribe political officials with money, gifts, and other goods to get these officials to regulate laws in favor of the companies the lobbyist represent.

"Yes We Can" is a phrase used to empower people to get politically involved and vote for Obama. Obama represents change. There are many aspects to this 'change' that he represents, but the most important in my opinion, is his stand not to accept incentives from lobbyist. By voting for Obama, you are supporting integrity in policy making. That is Change! And WE CAN support this CHANGE! YES WE CAN!

I hope this helps. I would like to hear your response. I probably won't get back to you until the 3 weeks from now because I've got EXAMs! :(

Oh, I've got to share this. This is Hillary Clinton for you.

I think this would be a good thing aswell. Although to a certain extent, Lobbiests are there to help politics know what the people are thinking, it's obviously been abused by Capitol interest.

The problem is, I don't see any specifics. For instance, Mitt had this "clean up the strees, no porn/drugs" add and I was left wondering "And how are you going to do this?"

Quick question: How do you feel about the Patriot Act? The biggest single reason I won't vote for Obama is because he voted for the Patriot Act. It's terrible and restricts our freedom IMO also, the Fed Reserve, no one is addressing that issue like it's just nothing.

I am a HUGE Ron Paul supporter but I can't vote because I'm only 16. I was in a group called "Ron Paul Supporters" but I guess it was deleted. I'll start a new one right now.
