ok dd and I both got new toshiba laptops last month. of course they had vista on them. Mine now runs ubuntu and she kept hers running vista. At least daily she has connection problems......can't get online, can't get this program to connect and the thing is SO SLOW. she came to me tonight to try and get limewire to connect thru the firewall.....I couldn't get it going either even after turning the firewall off. At the same time my ubuntu laptop is sitting right beside hers and connected. i have YET to not be able to get online with it. And even though they are the same computers the difference in speed is amazing! So I can say with all certainty that after playing around with vista I definitely will be sticking with linux. I am SO not impressed with vista!
