i think the program i use most is Beryl ;) but that doesnt count so probably Gedit. I use it for all of my programming, (Gedit or Notepad++ under WINE but it looks ugly so i try and use gedit).

ther than that it would probably be Terminal and XMMS

vmware, running Windows Vista fullscreen all the time.

just kidding, linux is so flexible that i don't have a most running or favourite app, i can do lots of things with different apps at the same time, i think this is why i dump ******* long time ago.

Tilda. Really awesome terminal drop down app. If we are talking more generally, I'd have to say firefox... I use it all the time.

I really love Gimpressionist in GIMP. I use Bluefish quite often...of course, Thunderbird and Firefox get the most use.

If all of these post-aholics on here say anything other than Firefox, they're lying.

I use Firefox and Totem+VLC player for my videos. I also always have tomboy notes on. Another one of my favorite programs is Comix, thats how I read every comic I download. :)

Well, the default startups (because I use them always) are

Firefox
Gaim
Tilda
Gnome-terminal (2x)
Gedit
amarok

And then the apps that are really just productivity enhancers for the DE
Avant-window-navigator
Affinity
Beryl (stripped to a bare minimum of gadgets : Desktop Cube, hot corners for certain actions, transparency)
