I duel boot with Windows but Ubuntu is my main OS. I only log in to Windows if there is a networking issue to see if its a Linux thing or if the router is playing up. Its always the router but I just got a new one so here's hoping it works better!

I still have a Windows partition, but since i installed Ubuntu I never use windows.So I suppose I am 100% Ubuntu I just haven't taken the time to remove my win partition. I'm still learning linux tho and a few things have given me problems but that is to be expected. Windows was unstable for me and crashed daily, leaked memory too. But Ubuntu does not appear to leak memory and has only crashed twice on me in 6 months or more and that was because i did something stupid in the terminal. Well I am learning after all. haha

100% Ubuntu user after trying it about a month and a half ago. It just looks, feels, and works so much better. I still have windows on my desktop but i don't boot to it anymore. I have also found i am using my laptop a lot more since i have ubuntu. I think i'm getting addicted to the amount of modifications i can do to the interface, it's fun :p

I'd say at home I'm 95% Windows-free. I still dual boot, but I pretty much never boot into it to use it. I booted into it not long ago just to get some updates, but that was it. My license on Zone Alarm Pro expired a few days ago...I was kind of waiting till it expired so I could work on being 100% Windows free.

At work I have no choice but to use Windows XP Pro.

Depends on whether you mean personal or in general. I was 100% Ubuntu personal before my laptop died and had to be sent off for repairs. Now I got an Ubuntu headless server and use a Windows machine once in a while.

I have a mainly 4 machine home network, 5 when Son No 1 comes home from university with his laptop.

Three of the permanent network are 100% Kubuntu. The remaining one, the Wife's that shall remain untouched (for the time being) is XP Pro. The visiting laptop is also XP but Home.

Must say it's sometimes useful to have a Doze box on the network somewhere...locked in a small dark room....

I only ever use it for playing counter strike, or if Ubuntu is having a full distro update. (Nothing like an hour of counter strike while your proper computer installs updates for free!)

I don't need Windows but I do need to figure out how to decrypt the data on the Action Replay DS device since the Windows-only software doesn't work with Wine, making an awful error message that has nothing to do with missing dlls. It is against my principles to waste time bothering trying to fix it to run with Wine. I know what device(s) appears in /dev whenever I plug in the usb connection to Action Replay DS but I get "no such device" when I try to write data to it. (I do that as root, of course.)

But that is still not a reason to revert to Windows. These businesses must become aware of Linux or I will just simply have to do mean things to their precious little encrypted drive.

Look at it as 100% Unix-based, or 100% open-sourced. I think that part of the fun of Linux and open-source in general is that, because most of it's free, you can sample whatever you feel, from applications to entire operating systems.

I have a dual boot system with Windows XP, which I'm going to keep in case I need it when I (search for and) find work. However, I haven't booted into Windows since I got my wireless networking card working (which was well over a month and a half ago).

I only use Windows if I'm fixing one of my family's computers or if I need to do something quick and going upstairs to use my computer would be tedious. However, since I installed Ubuntu on our oldest computer, I don't usually need to use Windows when I'm on the main floor now.

So I think I can say that I'm 100% Ubuntu (and if not then I'm 99.9999% Ubuntu).

Home has two Ubuntu desktops, two ubuntu notebooks, a powerbook running OS X (Tiger) and a solaris server.

At work I administer 20 Ubuntu-based thin clients, 15 Ubuntu desktops, two Ubuntu servers, one Solaris server, six Windows servers, an iSeries AS/400, 18 Windows Laptops, and 68 Windows PCs. There's also a couple of IDS sensors that I built on Debian floating around somewhere too.

We are quickly moving toward integrating more Linux-based systems at work, because our initial experiments have had many advantages: It does what we need it to, the users aren't scared of it (friendly interface), it's very adaptable, inexpensive, and low-maintenance. The Windows servers are fun (Ever had to rebuild an Exchange server? *shuddering*), and the things a user with admin privileges (don't ask why) can do to a Windows machine is mind-boggling. The Linux systems are easier to run, and most of the software doesn't rely on the user being an administrator (root), so it's a lot less of a mess to clean up.

Making the move to Linux was not difficult for me, and that was with only 2 months of prior Linux experience. Once you get over that initial shock that most of the store-bought stuff won't work on it, you start realizing that it really doesn't matter all that much once you start using it. And it also means swallowing your pride and realizing that after years of being a power user/Administrator/God, you're stuck being a n00b again for a while. But it gets easier, and it gets easier FAST.

I'm 100% Linux Mint on my laptop, I just completely removed Vista this weekend because I couldn't make backup disks and I wanted my 20 GB back. I do have a Virtualbox of win XP on here that has Office 03 on it, but the only time I use that is if I have a large paper to work on with a group and I don't want to worry about OpenOffice.org messing up the formatting. I am running programs in Wine though (Diablo II, Steam, DVD Shrink), My desktop at home has Windows XP on it only because my wife uses all the Adobe CS2 Programs and the computer isn't fast enough to run that inside a virtualbox to her satisfaction.

Well, I had Windblows, went to Fedora 7 , then Ubuntu which right now, is the right OS for me. So I can say 100% Ub. I have Windows on another drive, I didn't feel Windows had the right to share my Ubuntu drive :biggrin: So I only use Windows "if ever needed" for a backup, lol. I don't even boot into it.
