eclipse

Hi folks. I am just start using eclipse a a source editor/compiler. It allows me to define/work with java projects but I am more interested in working with c/c++ applications. As matter of fact, I was going to start working in a project right now. I have seen eclipse running c/c++ projects before. The million dollars' question is"how to do it?" I appreciate any pointers.
