This is a copy of what I sent to the Kentucky team mailing list.

The idea of some of the team going to Ohio for the Ohio Linux Fest (http://ohiolinux.org) in September has been discussed before. I think that it would be a lot of fun to meet there and take in all the sites. It would be cool if we had something like this here in Kentucky. I have no idea how to get a large Linux Fest started though.

The Ohio LoCo team (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/OhioTeam/OLF) has a booth there this year and are looking for donation to help off-set the cost. It costs $1000 for a booth and thus far they have raised $160. The event is on September 29th so the time for them to raise the needed money is growing short.

If you feel led to help them out (they are our neighbors after all) then go to the Ohio Team's (http://ohio.ubuntu-us.org/) website and click on the Donate button. If you have any questions about this then please let me know. There are (according to LP) about 67 members on our team. If each of us were to donate about $5 then that would be about $350 that they would not have to come up with.
