And where can i post about that there is old software and that it needs to be updated? As many things get updated very late and it is annoying.:(

But seriously, Debian maintains the vast majority of these packages. You should check what they're up to.

File a bug (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+filebug-advanced?field.tags=upgrade) with the "upgrade" tag. The link will take you to a page where the tag is readily placed. See the other requests (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bugs?field.tag=upgrade) if you need examples. The same procedure detailed in the sticky Requesting New Packages for Inclusion in Gutsy Universe (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=414355) thread applies, except that the tag is "upgrade" instead of "needs-packaging".

Check if Debian unstable or Gutsy Gibbon already have the new version you want. In some cases it's in unstable but not Gutsy, so file a bug like 23meg and ThinkBuntu said.
