Eclipse add filetypes?

How can i add filetypes for making a new file in Eclipse?

Or even better a way so i can just create a text file and type my own extension :)

You need the plugin for each family of types. For example, it comes with the capability to make .java files, because it is a Java IDE. To make .c or .h, you need the CDT plugin. What file types do you want to add?
