I'm so excited that I found a forum with some users who are local to me. I've been using Ubuntu now for a couple of months (trying to free myself from the ugly grip of WinXP/Vista) and it's been a huge, yet wonderful change.

greetings all, figured id introduce myself and this seems like the place. I am a comp sci major at umass boston and am looking to get more active in ubuntu and the community. i use ubuntu quite a bit at home for class work (c programing mostly) and web development but cant say i am an expert by any means. though i did just spend 2 days working on getting ubuntu running on my new dell laptop so i can say i have some experience in that area now. nice of dell to ship it on a laptop that wont run it natively.
