Hi Guys
Very soon I will be opening up my website and print shop that will allow users to make custom designed shirts etc. I would like some good feedback with the template that I will be using and also the quality of the shirt. So I am posting a template (.psd file) that you can put your artwork in.

All of you Ubuntu Team US guys this might interest you because I can do custom shirts for a good price and they are quality shirts/printing.

For now (until my site is up and running) please make an order like this:

1. Download the template
2. Put art on the template and save it to a .gif format with a transparent background. (Make sure that the dpi is 250)
3. Email me the image and send payment of $11 to tangrunner@gmail.com via paypal. Please include the size shirt you would like and if it is a man/woman cut. Sizes: S M L XL XXL (Add $1 for XL sizes ;) )
4. Wait 1 - 2 days for an email with your tracking number

I would really love it if some of you guys would help test this out. The shipping is included in the price so you don't have to pay anymore. I need feedback about the template I am using, the order process, your service, the quality of the printing/shirts and colors I should offer to print on (some of you art guys might be interested in this). I will be charging around 16 per shirt on the site. Also do you think it would be easier to include the shipping on the cost of the shirt? or just charge that as extra in the end? What would you guys prefer?

Thank you guys for the help

Here is the Template (It's basic for now. Looking for ideas!) : http://cobbman.com/thenetduck/ShirtTemplate.psd
If you would like the .psd and the .gif file to edit just download this zip file:
Zip: http://www.cobbman.com/thenetduck/ShirtTemps.zip

P.S. For this test period the only color I will be printing on is white to keep things simple. I will be offering other colors however I just need to figure out the best ones to use. I would love good feedback on the colors you would like to be able to print on.

could you post a jpg or png etc of the PSD? I don't really want to download it and open it with Photoshop, which I don't have. :) thanks

Ok here is .jpg and .png I was trying to save the .jpg so that there was just a transparent background but it didn't seem to work very well. When the files are sent, if they could be send with a transparent background it would make things a lot easier. Thank you!

P.S. For now all the template is is a 15 inch wide by 19 inch tall box that you can design in. If you want to just create a box on your specific app (Most likely GIMP ?) Feel free to do so just remember the dpi needs to be 250 or equivalent. ;) Cheers!

I see nothing but a white page there duck. :(

If you right click on the link and "save target as" it should download. (The background is white so probably is there... just blending in with the background of the white page) As of now I haven't been able to figure out how to make a .jpeg file have a transparent background.

Still doesn't work for me. :(

If memory serves me correct, you'll have to use .gif to get the transparent background. jpeg in my experience never would/could do a transparency.

Then again, I don't see the pictures you linked to.

I was just linking to a white box... soo it would be pretty hard to see it however here is a like to a shirt that I created for my free running team.
This might be easier to see because their is color ;)

It still has a white background but in the correct dimensions.

Ok we can now use a .gif file. Make sure the background is transparent. I edited my post above to have a link to a .gif file if you can't open the .psd file. I recommend editing the .gif file etc. Thanks!

first off: i LOVE this idea. i prefer the total cost rather than being gyped by a high shipping at the last step and am always turned off by a reasonable deal because of that.

it looks all white to me too? i will definiately be buying some shirts.

Ok here is a .zip of the two files. This is a .gif file and a .psd file. I recommend just editing the .gif file as I can imagine that being easier.

I have some old sample shirts you can have but you will need to pay for shipping ;)

P.S. I wouldn't want the shirts. Oh just so you guys know the $11 for the shirt includes the shipping and after I purchase the shirt, ink it and heat it it is right around cost for me. :)

This sounds like a great idea...

Can it work with Sweat Shirts as well as T-Shirts? I have more Sweat Shirt applications than T-Shirt. Just wondering.

But this is good.

I am 99% sure I can do sweat shirts. I don't have proper pricing on sweat shirts but ill post that very very soon. Whatever you guys need I can make it happen. I won't be offering sweat shirts officially yet however I had planned on having them in the future, but Ill post a price here so you guys can tell me what you think.

Thank you!

Did you get a chance to find out how much my shirt would cost?
