Just wondering where i could find help with this application. I am used to using AnyDVD + DVDShrink on win32 just wondering what the alternative on ubuntu would be. I have installed and used XDvdshrink but have runinto Regions and Newer dvd blocks. Is there an anydvd for linux or somthing that breaks the regions and encrpytion of newer dvds ?

There is one called DVD95 that is basically the same thing, or there is one called k9copy if KDE is more your thing.

Use k9copy, as afaik dvd95 doesn't like encrypted dvds.

Here is a good link that I used and got DVD Shrink + DVD Decrypter up and running on a Ubuntun 6.10 system.

That link doesn't work anymore. You might want to update it.

Download the windows dvd shrink it will work on wine!
The dvd copying works ok on makeing a iso file for k9copy tool in ubuntu! Burn the iso to a dvd and it will work on slow speed like 2x
