Hey all,

I was wondering if everyone thought it would be beneficial to keep a semi-official record of the team's meetings in the form of minutes. I will gladly volunteer to take the minutes and update the wiki after each meeting, but I wanted to ask the group about this first, as it seems like a lot of work to do if no one thinks it will be beneficial. Secondly, I do not (yet) have a laptop, but I'm considering getting one from Dell (with Ubuntu, of course). If I were to take the minutes using a laptop, do you think the keyboard chatter would be intrusive? Should I simply keep notes by hand?

An interesting idea, but I personally don't think it's necessary. We make a post after every meeting detailing what decisions were made and such, and I think that's sufficient.

What does anyone else think?

I think you should get the laptop from Dell and feel free to type during our meetings.

BTW: Visit Techbargains.com to find coupon codes to save money on that new laptop. I bought one of the Dell Ubuntu Desktops last week and I found a code that saved me $350.

Thanks for the tip. I'll definitely check that out. I'll be getting the laptop regardless of whether or not I use it to take minutes though. :)
