I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but hopefully it will be moved or someone will tell me where I should post this comment.

I have an Epson CX3810 All in One, and I would like to make a HOWTO: on this printer. The catch is that I really do not know how to! However I really do feel like giving something back to the community. Anyone willing to help?

Hehe, I like to see that kinda attitude. Don't rush into making tuts and other things to give back to the community though, I'd focus on getting everything you have properly set up and then learning how the more advanced things in Ubuntu work.

Don't feel a pressing need to give back, we aren't going anywhere so you have plenty of time. And there are lots of ways to give back, I mean you can make howto's, help newer members, file bug reports, learn a programming language, become a tester.... list goes on, when your ready pick something you feel really comfortable doing. :).

Thank you both for the suggestions. Sometimes I don't think about the comments I make all the way through their processes. It definately would be better to get a grasp on things before making a howto. So far, the linux thing is really great, and i would just like to say thanks

No problem, always glad to see a helpful and giving spirit around. Here are a few links to help getting better acquainted with Linux/Ubuntu.

LinuxCommand (http://www.linuxcommand.org/)for learning terminal

Ubuntuguide (http://ubuntuguide.org/wiki/Ubuntu:Feisty) and Psychocats (http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/index.php) for general understanding.

Ubuntu Wiki (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DocumentationTeam)for some more specific questions ya might have.

Have fun learning :).

Edit: Oh and anything not covered in those links, search the forums or Google. :)
