software for brainstorming

are there any software for this sort of thing out there? I was able to find one called FreeMind but it's written in java. I will use it if nothing better exists.

i found another one called Labyrinth that's in GTK. not great but good enough i guess.

I use Freemind a lot at work. It's very good and worth trying out.
