Those petitions don't have effect, and lots post porn adverts on it.

I just signed! I love Ubuntu and everything behind it's community and I am dying to have it as my only OS. I have been trying all the big names for Linux image creation looking for a way to get rid of my dual-boot. But I must say: Come on, give me a brake. If you just need to edit some photos at a domestic level, you may have enough with Krita, Gimp and/or Lightzone. But nothing ever made can be compared to Photoshop and Bridge CS3, specially if you are a professional photographer or creator. It's on a complete different dimension. So as long as Adobe products are not available for Linux many of us are pretty much stuck. This is a fact.

These are my thoughts and experiences so far.

Krita is exxellent, and I can do about everything I need with it..

execpt text layers. it seems that every line has to be an separate text field?!??! SO I usually do the text layers in gimp and then continue with krita..

However.. Photoshop CS2 works in wine.. so you can use even that in ubuntu if you like..
google for "portable photoshop" for instructions..
