Post amusing, smart, creative, silly, or otherwise interesting quotes from the forums you've noted. Some may not really work out of context; if that's the case, please provide a link to the post as well.
I'll start with a few:
A lot of the learning that happens in life is not the learning you're "supposed" to learn.
For example, in high school, you are "supposed" to learn reading, writing, science, math, foreign languages, etc. What you actually learn is how to be or not to be the center of attention, how to keep a schedule, how to deal with different types of people, how to cope with authority figures, etc.
I don't regret any of the learning I've had to do. I've just learned different things from what I was taught.
I think if you were to look up half-assed in the dictionary, you'd find the gnome-control-center buried in the definition somewhere.
When I was a participant on a BBS that was focused on posting the results of the Meyer-Briggs test, I posted my score as "RTFM".
If 100 average Windows users can't be convinced to learn how to set up their router does that mean routers are useless too?
