Many Ubuntu users tend to download debs and tarballs without knowing that they can install many applications that they want by simply adding repositories.

What Repositories (that are not included in Ubuntu by default) do you suggest?

One repo, all the video/audio codecs you need.

Also make sure multiverse and Universe repo's are enabled too :)

They're enabled by default in Feisty.

universe
multiverse
security
backports
main

and of coarse automatix ones(but i did not post these)
