Install Doom 3 on OSX with PC Disc

Hey everyone. Is it possible to copy the maps and levels off my Doom 3 discs then download the OSX binary somewhere? I think that is sort of what you do for Linux so I assumed you could do it on a Mac also. (I got myself a brand new Macbook Pro today :D)

I think it's possible. You'd have to copy the pak0. something file from the CD over to the base (?) directory on the Mac. And hunt on the internet for an Intel Mac executable.
