Microsoft patents attorney Jim Markwith told OSBC it would be "impossible" for Redmond's bureaucrats to respond to the volume of responses that would result from disclosure...

LOL! Of course they are too busy, free enough to hold 2 or 3 press conferences denouncing Linux with FUD, but not free enough to stand up and point to the patents like big men. MS has accomplished its goal though, they spread FUD very effectively in a short time with steve balmer at the top speaking right to media, and have scared most large corporations/executives/share holders into paying license fees to them in return for protection from suit (extortion by the mob, IMO).

It's sad, but even if the lies are false, the bottom line is MS won this battle overall from all the companies paying. Btw, I'm not just referring to the novell deal, many large companies made direct deals with MS >.>.

I agree with smoker, great link. It is a shame that MS with its FUD makes the front page, and eben moglen gets shafted from main stream media with his quite well structured analysis of what MS is doing. Hat's off to the guy, its just a shame more people haven't heard him or thought more about the FUD rather than rush to MS and pay them a license fee for patents.

You know that one DJ at the club, that always plays the same set, night after night, never changes it up...yeah, that's Microsoft...their song and dance is getting old. The need to put up or shut up.
