Been really enjoying playing with Ubuntu via Wubi. However today I went to start up my laptop and I get this error: /bin/sh: can't access tty: job control turned off . Hadn't installed anything new prior to getting this error, but I was having problems making it either hibernate or shut-down - don't know if that's connected. Any help would be appreciated. :D

That might happen if the virtual image file got corrupted. Did you hard reboot?
PS if you make hibernate work let us know

Yea - had to hard reboot - system froze on shutdown. Any way to uncorrupt the image file? :-k
