Pub Quiz Machine ate my £1

I was in The Hobbit (a pub) in Southampton last night playing away happily on the quiz machine, when it suddenly crashed and hence ate my pound coin. the dude behind the bar simply "power cycled" it and refunded my pound.

it was upon reboot that it suddenly became clear why this dedicated quiz machine crashed and stole my money

I won £40 out that machine once. I think I was playing Strike it Rich. That was a good night.

for the record it crashed twice more before we left.

Actually, on my phone I have a picture of a cashpoint in Winchester showing the Windows XP Ctrl-Alt-Del message in front of the Natwest background...always makes me a bit insecure about inserting my debit card in to one of those things.
