LOL, I wish MS could be silenced so easily... that ploy does seem to hinge on first GPLv3 getting passed soon (I wonder if it will be done by july, some speculated it would go into next year...) then secondly that someone does in fact turn in one of the 70,000 coupons (I think thats the number) after the GPL revision is passed and relicensed, and third, I imagine that MS would send its army of lawyers out marching in step to defend itself against having shot itself in the proverbial foot. If we can get past all that, yay, I will enjoy the show as MS and Balmer curse at themselves in the corner :popcorn:.

I thought MS was simply FUD'ing around UNTIL GPLv3 gets passed, since I thought that version of GPL was tailored more towards their goals. Hence, when it passes, MS would then step up threats into actual lawsuits. I keep hearing opposing news about GPLv3...that it's the saviour for open-source and Linux, and others saying its simply making it easier for folks like MS to run open-source out of business. What's the deal?
