Hello:

I thought that maybe our LoCo could take part in Software Freedom Day, I have included a link on my websites and decided to make reference to it in some of my classified advertising.

Software Freedom Day is a global, grassroots effort to educate the public about the importance of software freedom and the virtues and availability of Free and Open Source Software. Local teams from all over the world organize events on the third Saturday in September. The most recent event involved over 200 teams from all over the world:

The name itself tells the whole story about what open source software is and goes along with the 'Highway to Freedom" concept developed by the marketing team. I have about ten original posters which can be copied in 11" X 17" format full color at most copy shops (A3). An 18 Meg Adobe Portable Document Format copy is available for anyone that wants to be their own, let me know and I will up it somewhere.

You can download the posters from our server, the JPEG file is about 200K and can be used to see what the poster looks like on your computer. If you want to print the poster, you are going to want to download the PDF which is about 18 Meg, don't attempt this on a dial-up connection unless you run it overnight. Feel free to post copies of this poster in print or online to spread the word about Ubuntu.
