Well there's lots of ways..but one really easy thing to do is to put your hardware in the Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) (http://www.linuxquestions.org/hcl/) at LinuxQuestions.org and then to review it...if it's there already, then add another review. It's a really useful resource and has been around for a while..and only a tiny proportion of the ubuntuforums users reviewing their hardware would make a difference.
Apologies if this is rather adverty..but I have no connection with the site and it would be really good to expand on one of the best HCLs out there.
