I'm wondering if anyone around here can give me some advice...
I'm looking for the best CPU for use with a single-threaded numerical modeling program under Windows. Our current processor is a P4 3.2 Ghz, which runs faster than the old one, an Opteron 252. I'm not sure what our price limit is (this is for work) but any suggestions would be great, thanks.
