Also, check out that link to "Scratch" on the site. I watched the video for it, it looks like a pretty novel and user-friendly way to code a visual interactive piece, kinda like Flash, but without the Flash. It looked really cool the way you could just snap the code together like puzzle pieces. I was hoping to try it out, but it looks like it's just for Windows & Mac. I guess the folks at MIT don't support Linux...*pout*. Oh, and the black girl in the Scratch video is really cute.
