Ever since Vista came out, Microsoft has really been hammering on the Open Source community. Vista was a flop for an OS, and people are coming to realize that. It's no coincidence that Ubuntu's server's were down because of the massive need of version 7.04 (http://ubuntuos.com/?p=366), nor is it that Dell decided to start selling their PC's equipped with Ubuntu (http://www.dell.com/ubuntu).

Looks like Gates bailed just in time.

Ballmer has also decided that he wants to sue away Open Source as well, trying desperately to eliminate the competition (http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortune/fortune_archive/2007/05/28/100033867/index.htm?section=money_latest). He even went as bold as saying that the reason Linux is so great because they stole patents from Windows, which is a blatant lie.

Anyway, the mere question I pose to you, as a community, is if this article (and others, following the links) can be made more accurate (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_Linux). To me, it seems to be yet another attempt at brainwashing the public. I'm sure you all could do something to contribute your facts to the world.

We have to do what we can. Most people have never even heard of Linux, and we don't want big corporations to give them their story of it.

Nothing new here. Just more FUD. They have been doing this for years.
