http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peace_of_mind

Inner peace' or peace of mind is a colloquialism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colloquialism) that refers to a state of being (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Being) mentally (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mind) or spiritually (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spirituality) at peace (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peace), with enough knowledge (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knowledge) and understanding (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Understanding) to keep onself strong in the face of discord or stress (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stress_%28medicine%29). Being "at peace" is considered by many to be healthy (homeostasis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homeostasis)) the opposite of being stressed or anxious. Peace of mind is generally associated with bliss (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bliss) and happiness (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Happiness). Many religionists (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion) believe that it isn't possible (or at least very difficult) to achieve true inner peace without divine intervention (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Divine_intervention) of some form or another.

Peace of mind, serenity (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serenity), and calmness are descriptions of a disposition free from the effects of stress. In some cultures, inner peace is considered a state of consciousness (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consciousness) that may be cultivated by various forms of training, such as prayer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prayer), meditation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meditation), T'ai Chi Ch'uan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T%27ai_Chi_Ch%27uan) or yoga (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoga), for example. Many spiritual practices refer to this peace as an experience of knowing oneself. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Know_thyself).

Well, I had lots of trouble with Ubuntu. Even had to reinstall it a couple of times... not sure if it was me, my hardware or Ubuntu.
But this is the first distro I'm really using and really working with and I have learned a LOT about Linux on this Ubuntu computer and I'm still using Ubuntu. I'm quite familiar with it now and Ubuntu is very easy to use. I don't think I need to test and explore other distro's.

I think Breezy will be a lot better though

my first linux install was suse 9.2, and I really did an awful job of administering it (in hindsight).

My second install was ubuntu warty, which I upgraded to hoary...that was not without its hiccups, though. Part of the blame lies with the hardware, which was a bit oddball (main issue was the pci wlan card, naturally). A larger part again lies with my inexperience.

I'm on my third install now-- a clean install of hoary on a new computer--and so far things are running far more smoothly.

I think there's a lot to be said about discipline, and actually learning what you're doing. No matter what you do, the first time is always going to be difficult...
