I believe that many people have a hard time finding good panel backgrounds.

Please post your panel backgrounds here or at least, the link to where you got your panel backgrounds from if you downloaded them.

Heres (http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Smoked+Glass+v0.9.5?content=27141) the GTK theme I use for my panels, I like dark themes. And its not a clone of Vista's imagine that :)

Here's (http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b324/FFManiac1/Desktop.png) what my desktop looks like if your wondering.

The 3d windows and blue glow aren't part of the theme, I got that by heavily modifying an emerald theme called Glass Ale (also on gnome look).

Give it a try if you like dark stuff, you'll make your vista friends drool :D

These are just a couple of silver upper and lower bar graphics I use for one of my themes.

Here's the one I use (http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/TurboOSxPanel?content=48981). I don't have an OSX-themed desktop, but I do like this as the top panel.

Well, I didn't manually put a background on it, its a system theme, easiest way is to download the GTK, you can then mix and match whatever you like, i.e. use its panel and other icon set... :).
