Hello Forum Moderators

I have a request to make. I have recently created a thread asking for help from some problem that I encounter. Unfortunately it was moved to the Jail.

The thread in question is "Need help, "bash fork bomb" ? Terminal command" (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=442795)

I created that thread for a solution to that "multiple process consuming RAM" I don't know how could that be offensive.

Looking back, maybe the problem lies in the wording. I am going to rephrase:

I typed a command that a friend told me that he heard/read somewhere that it could hang the OS (GNU/Linux) completely. I, incredulously tried it out.

Now I see that there are more process running that it should be... and my computer is running slow.

I NEED A WAY TO FIX IT. (Need help)

This is the content of the PM that I received:

I'm sorry, I saw this earlier and the real world called me away before I was able to respond...then I forgot.

I moved the thread back to General Help. I think taurus moved it because we have had people post things like that maliciously, intending to harm new users. Those sorts of people get banned quickly. He was likely unsure whether you were genuine or posting in a very deceptive manner, pretending to be a user who needed help.

I'll gladly give you the benefit of the doubt. Sorry for the confusion.
