when ever i log out or shut down the nextime i log in my on button on the top panel towards the right alltough this is nothing terible it is an anounance if i replace the button and even lock it the next time i am on it has gone :confused: :confused:

I've consistently had this problem with GNOME, as well.
Sometimes on a reboot, my panel icons all move around. No idea why.

it has stopped for me to fix it u have to move the notification area and clock away from the buttons (space them out) i think it might be because gnome wants space bettween panel icons.

For me, the same thing always happens with fresh installs, both in Edgy and Feisty. After you've played around with the panel a bit, it stops happening. I never filed a bug report.
