Is there a easy way to make Ubuntu look like OS X? I really don't want to mess around with the terminal.

If you use KDE, you can make a dock and so forth look and act just like OS X. This is all over the internet (as you can imagine)....

There are a few themes that you can download that look like OSX. Try visiting gnome-look (http://gnome-look.org). There are also several dock programs floating around the place. Have a search for kiba-dock or kooldock.

This image (http://gnome-look.org/CONTENT/content-pre1/54851-1.jpeg) was taken directly from gnome-look :)

You can get osx running on your computer if you want. You need patience and a fairly recent cpu (sse2, sse3 support)

nope the os x x86 does not work on my computer, plus it is illegal.

I don't think it is any more - I heard they relaxed the rules so you can install it on x86 PCs now?

You also need a SATA DVD drive as well I believe?

I doubt this. Apple has never allowed for Mac OS to be legally run on non-Apple hardware, and I can't imagine they would change this policy just because a few hobbyists use a pirated copy of OS X.

...and good lawyers if Apple gets to hear of it.

There is a decent starter a part of gnome-desklets and you can assign it to start at startup. The only problem is gdesklets doesn't start minimised so you end up having to close it every time you log in.

I know this is a popular topic on all systems. Who wouldnt want the osx look right? I know I have setup my comp more then once to look like it. But my question is why do people do this? Right now i have a black mac inspired theme and i love it.

For themes wallpapers icon whatever you want go here Gnome-Look.org (http://www.gnome-look.org/)

Edit: It is very possible to run OSX on a standard PC (Not saying anything :-P) But in my opinion it isn't even worth it. In most cases there are programs that don't work and updates can cause the system to not even boot and require a reinstall. There are work around for some of the updates and such but its time consuming. So my advice would be to use the theme or just buy a mac.
