New on the Distrowatch waiting list today: cl33n (http://cl33n.com/index.html).

So what is it? A live cd that does one thing, and one thing only: boots a system, connects to the internet, and launches Firefox.

Got to love Open Source.

Now it just needs to be based on Ubuntu, and have a bunch of cool FF extensions to make it really useful!

If it just functions as a web browser why would it base itself on Ubuntu? There's no promise that Ubuntu will be around tomorrow. But with Debian you get a very stable leg to stand on, because the Debian project is one that will never die (Knock on wood).

That's still a pretty cool idea though; One of these days I'll get unlazy and make a LiveCD, hopefully something useful (And not proof of concept, which is what I consider this type of a LiveCD)

Thanks Justin for checking out cl33n.

cl33n is already Ubuntu-based in a way....it uses the Casper-managed boot sequence from Ubuntu via Debian Live.

Over the past few days I've had some great suggestions for security-oriented Firefox extensions. Which extensions would you like to see?

Thanks again.
