From a personal level what would you recommend to a windows platform professional to jump start his/her expertise with linux based operating systems?

I'm having great success running multiple Ubuntu installations at work and casually , would it be best to focus on material that focuses on Ubuntu or linux in general?

The official Ubuntu guide sounds as if it's pretty basic , I'm looking for a book that would cover the entire spectrum from basic to advanced computing.

thanks.

O'Reilly has a ton of Linux books. Not sure what you are looking for but take a look at Linux in a Nutshell
