View Full Version : Authenticated against an Active Directory with PHP

I've tried to figure out automagic log-in based on who has signed into a computer, but because that seems to be quite a bit more difficult, I'd like to simplify my request a bit.

I want to write a PHP based application on an Ubuntu server (PHP5/Apache2) that has a log-in form so users can authenticate against our Active Directory Domain Controller.

Any tips would be appreciated. I know I'll probably wind up having to learn a lot about kerberos and PAM, but I have no idea where to start.

If I could have the username automagically populated in a server variable, then just have the user repeat their password that would be awesome, but if I can't determine the username by default I'm okay with that.
