Ummm, I believe I already covered this for your exact same labtop it seems, please look here. (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=434245) Instructions are same for ubuntu/kubuntu. The trouble lies with the fact you have an X series ati card. Try the alternate cd and follow the steps I elaborated on.

Most of all, relax, no one ever said that Feisty would be perfectly working for everyone, but with time we can get it there :)
