View Full Version : Java runtime on USB drive

I'm not quite certain if this is the correct forum...

I was wondering how I would go about installing the java runtime environment on a flash drive. My idea is to put a java program on the flash drive and have it run on a computer- even if they haven't installed the JRE.

Is this possible- what would it take? Nothing is too technical- i'm just really interested to see how this'd work.

Thanks in advance.

Install it there and run your program with the java binary from the drive? That's all I guess...
But I think you'll need separate jre's for windows, linux, mac....
